For the Congregation
O Jesus, Good Shepherd,
we call upon you to give our Superiors a
nd all those who share in your authority
within the Church,
the spirit, the grace, the virtues,
and everything else that a good shepherd requires.
May your Spirit bestow all his gifts on them
so that by their prudent conduct all things
may be accomplished in a resolute but kindly manner.
Lord, may our Superiors be so like you
that they may lead their flock by their example.
Grant to the humble family of your Divine Heart
the grace to form but one heart and one soul
in the bonds of perfect obedience and holy charity.
Allow only those souls who have been called and chosen
by you to enter into its midst.
Look kindly on all of us and bless us,
as well as our houses and our works;
may the abundant graces which well up from the wound
in your Divine Heart never cease to flow down
and enrich this portion of your garden
which is especially devoted to you,
that you may always find joy, consolation,
and peace with us.
