.... After high school I would gladly have gone to the seminary but I was only sixteen years old. My father sent me to Paris to study law. Providence was watching over me. I happened upon an invaluable intellectual formation in Paris without losing either my faith or my vocation. I was particularly close to Leo Palustra. He gave me a taste for travel as a means of cultural development.
